AM-40 is a political ska/punk band. Our lyrics reflect dissatisfaction with social conformity, with US foreign policy, with popular music, with disturbing social trends, and also seek to tie into our message works of literature and philosophy that we have enjoyed, hopefully adding our own little spin to these cultural gems.
Our music is completely DIY! We recorded all of it ourselves, with no studio, with no mixing board or professional equipment. Some haters think it sounds terrible. Others find it refreshingly honest in the face of the cacophonous commercial sounds that the media crams down our collective throats. We suggest either way that you check us out live where we have a fair chance against bands that sell their souls for a beautiful sound.
We offer our sincere sincere gratitude to Felix's brother, Matt, who is helping us by mastering our Punk Rock Supersounds and tweaking them to sound even more hardcore.
