After having used the name Erella Vent (so that her first and last name would be"irrelevant") for many years, she went back to her name at birth Erella Ganon. "I do like being the only E.Vent in the Toronto phone book though, A fountain of info, she lost her vent when she first had brain surgery in 1998. Her most recent was last year.
A small sample of the drawings from her forthcoming graphic novel are online at
Droplit Books, her publishing company was created in 1986 though she had been publishing books since she was putting them out with her friend Roddy Heading in 1981.
The purpose of Droplit Books is to get art work from her milieu, her arts community out to other people.
"Why shouldn't we have access to reproductions of local artists' work?" she asks. Droplit Books has produced 55 miniature books and postcards since 1986 when it was established. The first tiny tomes were created by Andy Fabo, Barbara Klunder,http://www.barbaraklunder.com/ Stephen Andrews,Fiona Smyth http://fionasmyth.com/, Michael Merril and Doug Guildford, some of Canada's best known and appreciated local artists.
The Adventures of My Inner Child is a book series about her pregnancy. Here is a quote: "This journal has grown from my real feelings and experiences. In the process, I have discovered the true meaning of emotions as I dance from awe and joy to trepidation. A definite labour of love - dedicated to those who share my growing pains."

She was on staff at CBC radio and TV for many years, working on a brilliant documentary about the 50 year history of Canadian Satire,The Joke's On Us and a variety of other television and radio shows such as Smart Ask, Here and Now, Metro Morning, CBC Kids and others.
