I exist in this current physical space & time as a producer / musician / programmer / recording engineer / graphic artist / internet designer / project developer / pilot and overall production technologist.
For most of my life I have been deeply involved in the high-end technological production side of things! I specialize in technology oriented production for music, film and art, and as well - media / content development and distribution.
About my work :
First and foremost I am seriously into production, as the head of technology for Perfecto Records I get to work on some pretty interesting stuff and some serious technically challenging projects.
My long time associate and friend Paul Oakenfold, the owner of Perfecto Records, is one of the main artists/producers I have the pleasure of working with on an on-going basis. Paul and I met in Europe during the dawning heyday of techno / dance music development in the early 80's. Over the course of many years and many productions we have pushed the production envelope developing new styles of remixes and high-end production techniques for a variety of projects.
Currently we collaborate on new media development productions, software projects and the occasional orchestral score for film or V-game soundtracks. I also appeared in his Spike TV series "The Club".As a producer/composer I am involved in the creation and production of a number of projects such as "Divine Right Of Kings" (check the link on my top friends) , and my upcoming indie label WAR TribeZ.
I am seriously focused on the development of a powerful theatrical production about 1st Peoples - Native Americans called "Ancient Visions". This project includes Tactile, Olywurld and a number of other 1st Nation artists, design technologists and specialists from a variety of tribes.
My role with the annual Winter Music Conference
For the past 2 years ( 06 & 07 ) I have participated in the Winter Music Conference in South Miami Beach. While most of the 50,000 plus people that go to Miami are there for the party and Ultra, I actually go to attend the Music & Technology aspects of the conference. I usually act as a moderator on any number of panels dealing with technology, production and digital distribution. As well I try to make a point to sit on a couple of the Demo Listening Workshops to give upcoming composers, artists and producers my own personal advice on how to work and survive in this business. HOBBIES & ADVENTURES
For relaxation and adventure I mostly head for the mountains or desert. I am an aircraft pilot and fly both seaplanes and old style taildraggers. I love to take the airplane and go camping out in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes I fly into Burning Man and hang out a while. These flying adventures are what deeply inspire me and provide the only counter to spending countless time in the studio producing!
But of even more importance, it allows me the opportunity to get back to my Native American roots and communicate with both the Great Spirit and my ancient ancestors. I do many vision quests for guidance.
