2000: Band was created by members Nick Nooyen and Casey Hagman. Original influences include: Rammstein, Led Zeppelin and KMFDM.
2001: Rob Helf joins the band as the bass player. Helf brought a punkier influence and the band starts to go in a grungier direction. The band plays their first show at Blue Moon cafe. The band decides on its final name of More Than Conquered.
2002: Sean Tobin joins the band as the second guitar player. MTC moves in a thrash direction of the likes of Metallica and Megadeth.
2003: Sean Tobin leaves the band and MTC resumes as a trio. More Than Conquered moves into a more progressive direction under a heavy "Iron Maiden" influence.
2004: Aaron Williams joins the band as the second guitar player. MTC starts writing heavily for their upcoming EP "Romans 8:37."
2005: Aaron Wiliams leaves the band and MTC is a trio once again. MTC records their first demo at Rock Garden Studios here in Appleton, WI.
2006: MTC plays heavily in the Fox Valley to support the release of their first EP "Romans 8:37." Soon after Nooyen left the band and joined Vindicated a few months later. MTC decides not to look for another drummer and puts their six year career to rest. However, in late summer Nooyen approached Hagman on doing another record and the two started writing heavily for another release. MTC is alive again as studio project.
2007: Recently MTC decides to become a full time project and joined together again with bass player Rob Helf. The band has been writing constantly and will be out playing around the state this spring. Currently MTC has been recording in Madison and will be for the next couple months. Record producer John Troxell tries out as the second guitar player and is soon accepted into the band. His first show is March 10th at Rock Island Cafe.
