Numinous Eye

A dark sound in a shivering place.

About Me

Improvisational psych-cosmic-noise-rock project centered around guitarist Mason Jones. Created to provide an outlet allowing participation of collaborators while staying in a certain field of guitar-oriented psych-noise-freeform-rock sound. Usually Numinous Eye remains a guitar-drum duo.
Previously, I founded SubArachnoid Space, and the project Trance before that. I have also released several albums of solo guitar work, operated the Charnel Music label, and published extensive writing about music in general and Japanese indie music/noise in particular, including the magazine Ongaku Otaku.
I've toured around the U.S. and Japan with various projects, including collaborative shows in Japan with artists like Seiichi Yamamoto (Boredoms), KK Null (Zeni Geva), Jojo Hiroshige (Hijokaidan/Alchemy Records), and many others. I have also organized U.S. shows for bands including Fushitsusha, Zeni Geva, Rovo, Acid Mothers Temple, Coa, Masonna, and others.
