About Me

Born in Baltimore in 1968, lived in Germany, Boston, Columbia Md, and for the last 12 years Portland Oregon. Currently leads with The Evolutionary Jass Band, has played with Q, The Visitors, too many other bands to list right now. Learned to play guitar with my brother while he learned bass back in 82' after disatrous piano lessons! Started playing the saxophone in '98. Currently owns Leighton Audio and fixes old tube amps, and just started my own label, Jaffe records in 2008.

Band Members: Just me playing Sax, guitar, Bass, Drums Sitar, Vibraphone. I do play in Evolutionary Jass Band with: Michael Henrickson on drummisting, Marisa Anderson on gitar and seetar, Daphna Kohn on Vox and Violin and seetar and viola, Jah Bones on double bass, Jesse Johnson on cornets, Denk on saxes and flutes. Also on some of these recordings is my brother Mitch on bass, Barry Hampton on vocals and drums, Jonh Vassallo on Sitar. I play with a lot of folks really.
