Fierce Music Entertainment Inc. is a music production company based in Toronto, New York and the Caribbean. We've been composing music, creating soundscapes & SoundFX for Film, Television, Multi-media & Video Games for over 14 years. We specialize in Aggressive, Urban, Caribbean, Electronic , Tribal-Cinematic and youth oriented music.
The company is headed by Producer/ Composer DEREK BRIN who's been in the industry for over 20 years. Trained as a sound editor, he was promoted to Head of Audio Operations & in-house composer for seven years and now heads FIERCE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT INC. which supplies music content & Sound FX for stock music Imaging Libraries (The Imagio Collection (TM Century) & The Nightingale Collection). We've also scored over 1500 1/2 hours of music for Documentary, Entertainment and other types of television programming. We composed 1/2 the music content for the video game MARINE HEAVY GUNNER by Brainbox Games/ Digital Extremes and a few US commercial spots. We're also responsible for creating all the celebrity and dance performance music for the Bell Mobility Celebrity Gala for the last two years in a row (the event Won an award for "Canada's largest charity event"). We've just started production on year 3.
Aside from the media content, DEREK BRIN has Produced, Mixed and Remixed over 85 records for International release including Producing a song each for Canadian Idol winners Kalan Porter and Ryan Malcolm which both went platinum and double platinum. While in LA, Derek scored nusic for companies like WORLD OF WONDER and a few pilots for Director NORMAN POWELL (24 the series). While in LA, DEREK also worked on a number of projects as a programmer for Super Producer GUY ROCHE (Christine Aguilera, Celine Dion, Selena etc.), DIANE WARREN (Realsongs), Jud Friedman & Allen Reich ("Run To You" by Whitney Houston, etc). Here in Canada, he continues to work with Dan Hill & Sweden's Jorgen Ellofsen as both Programmer and Engineer for ALL songs recorded .
DEREK BRIN just signed a 3 year music publishing deal with Ole Media Management based in Toronto. OLE is THE largest independent Muisc/ Media Publisher. OLE is bigger than all other indie publishers combined.

You're listening to music from the video game Marine Heavy Gunner. In the music player is also a jingle for DIGICEL, a cell phone company based in the Caribbean. This jingle is for their campaign which Launched in Trinidad this past April. You also have the music used in the television promos for Discovery channel's Nature documentary series called "Wild Discovery".
Over to the left are a few commercial pitches we've worked on. We composed the music and did all sound design & sound FX.
(DEREK BRIN) I'm a Music Composer/ Engineer/ Sound Designer so basically I live and breathe music and have no life but I love what I do. I work 7 days a week and travel between Toronto, New York and the Caribbean. In the Caribbean I work mostly in Barbados, Trinidad & St Vincent which is a blessing but at the same time I'm in studio for most sunshine hours so I consider it Pure Evil to be somewhere so beautiful and not get to enjoy it.
After many years in the Toronto music scene, I started working with a partner in NewYork for a few years. I connected with management and a number of songwriters in LA so I moved to the West coast. When I was in LA, i did drum and keyboard programming for Major Producers and songwiters like Dianne Warren, Guy Roche, Jud Friedman and Allen Reich, Dan Hill & Jorgen Elofsen (Sweden). While I was there I scored music for the show "Hollywood's best Kept Secrets" Produced by Norman Powell now of the famed series "24". While there, I also scored the one hour documentary for AMC (American Movie Classics) called "Out of the Closet" about the actor William "Billy" Hanes.
While in Barbados this summer, I built a studio with a partner (Gary Serrao) who runs GeeWizz Productions. GeeWizz is a radio Imaging company that's been very successful in the US market for past 10 years.
I try to never give up on anything until I either do it or die trying. I like to enjoy life if there's time but I always find myself working.so... I've learned to enjoy life as I work and enjoy the blessings of being able to see and experience new cultures and travel while I work.

(in life, we don't all start off at the same place nor do we end up at the same place or with equal success. I'm just saying you need to look at an individual and judge him by his journey and his spirit not only the destination or the outcome. Just remember, some people were handed success while some people actually earned theirs and place value on what they've achieved.)
