The Daily Chorus is proud to announce our very first A&R Street Team: Welcome to The Capital Area A&R street team!
The Capital Area street team is responsible for the scouting and promotion of bands in the Maryland, Virginia and DC areas.
The Daily Chorus has a vision to incorporate A&R Street Teams across the U.S. and eventually outside of the U.S. The goal of these A&R street teams is to promote all TDC area bands as well as find the next batch of up-and-coming bands in each street team’s area.
Some of the bands could make the main site’s Top Unsigned list, recognizing the Top 40 unsigned bands in the country.
These A&R street teams are also about building a community in each area. This will be done by bridging the gap between area bands and area fans. Special TDC area shows will be part of the community building, as well as industry showcases for area bands.
Two street team leaders and several A&R scouts hand picked by the TDC staff will run each A&R Street Team. All of their contact information is located on this MySpace page.
Every week, each street team will be told to scout a certain genre of rock music. That will ensure all area’s of rock music will be scouted. An email will be sent to the main TDC staff with a list of the top bands of that specific genre.
Bands in the Top Friends section are bands that are already on the Top Unsigned list or have potential to be, from this area.
