Psychedelic Art-Poetry Rock - Hail Eris

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4Band started in 1998 when Matt did sound for Lora's SIRENS SILENCE series of poetry readings, and began providing improvised backing tracks for the poets. They recorded LORALAII on 4-track and were approached by Steve Murtaugh to join Orange Entropy Records. A live performance was called for, and Steve joined on guitars. The band debuted onstage in February 1999 at the City Gardens in New Jersey and has rolled on since, losing some but gaining others. The current lineup consists of Lora Bloom, vocals and guitar; Dan "Redbeard" Baker on guitar; Kenny Brown on electronics, theremin and harmonica, and Matt Stevenson on bass and keyboards, and Lisa Spera on drums. Currently operating from their West Philly stronghold/recording studio, the band has several albums available: LORALAII, BEAUTIFUL LOSERS, BURNING MACHINE, STRENGTH, MONKEY ISLAND, as well as the pre-Lora instrumental album SEAN'S KITCHEN and the EXTREMIST release. Redbeard has an extensive solo career going, as Redbeard and with Apogee (also including Matt); check his myspace pages and www.boilingacid.com/senseoffenders. Lisa Sunshine has some songs up at www.last.fmHey, check this thing out:
