About Me

About Eris Temple Artspace/Main Street West Music Studios--- Eris Temple Artspace is dedicated to giving a voice to talented struggling and underground artists and musicians, the true fringe in the Philadelphia area, regardless of any affiliations. We are working towards become a strong neighborhood meeting space for people united in their love of and spiritual connection to authentic artistic expression. Not just a gallery, not just a performance space, Eris Temple Artspace intends to work within multiple media and genres. The space focuses on a multimedia experience, with ongoing art shows from artists with unique voices and non-traditional messages, plus events such as music, theatrical performance, poetry and film screenings. The Main Street West Music Studio works to record, release, and offer practice space to many under-appreciated, under-financed local musicians. In the upcoming months the Artspace plans to expand into a diy boutique as well, selling art prints, local band paraphernalia, music from independent labels and artists, strange crafts, zines, underground local films. Anyone with an interest in volunteering or getting involved can email [email protected]. Musicians/band interested in playing please, don't send emails to this site, we just get too many. You can email [email protected] for now, but keep in mind we are not doing as many music shows. We are looking for people with an idea for an event that you think might work well in the gallery space, think poetry, multimedia, clothing swap, open mic, potluck, artist or musician networking, ambient/noise/acoustic, performance art, or movie night, craft fair, workshop, etc. The Artspace is open to the public Friday through Sunday from 1pm-7pm. Call 215-747-3789 to confirm hours or to see art another time by appointment. Please do visit us, we would love to see you and we will be playing music from local bands or jamming, and may have coffee and snacks and we will hang your flyers for your events in our window as well.
