Vardan Arakelyan was born on August 21, 1970.At 12 he began playing on bass in the
children’s ensemble ‘Lapterik’. In 1985 he finished the Guitar Department of the
Chukhadjyan Musical School.
Since 1985 he began playing jazz with Vahagn Hayrapetyan and Orest Moustidi. Then he
continued its playing career in the State TV and Radio symphonic Orchestra of Armenia.
In 1991-1992 he finished the Radio Department of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.
Since the creation of the group ’Time report’ he has been playing in the group. In the
Period 2000-2005 he played in the ’Armenian Navy Band’.
Participated in numerous jazz festivals in Vienna, Berlin, Marseilles, Rome, etc.
Starting 1998 he has been playing in the group led by Nune Yesayan, an Armenian
well-known artist.
