About Me

Hi, I'm bassist and bass instructor Charles "Charley" Mishalany. I've performed with many different artists playing a wide range of music from R&B, jazz, fusion, Top 40 pop, latin and even ska!! I've opened for bands such as Sugar Ray, Sublime, The Mighty Mighty BossTones, VooDoo Glow Skulls, and many more. I've also had the priviledge to perform with well known artists such a Louis Bellson, Isaac Hayes, and members of Oingo Boingo. Over 23 years, I've played countless weddings, corporate events, clubs, church worship services and studio sessions. My experience also includes musical theater, national and international touring, live television and tv commercials. Please visit my web site at www.CharlesMishalany.com to read my full resume. In addition to performing, I maintained 3 teaching studios while living in Southern CA, holding the position of principal bass instructor at the Orange County Music Academy. In 2005, my wife Kiersten, son Josh, and I relocated to Marietta, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. Since arriving in Atlanta, I've been very fortunate to find work right away playing in one of Atlanta's finest Top40/R&B/pop bands and working at the finest venues around the state. I've also continued my relationship with the church playing Contemporary Christian music as a member of the First Presbyterian church worship band as well as member of the "Live it Live", children's weekly television show at Mt. Bethel UMC. I'm also involved with numerous fusion/jazz artists, some of which are Madoca, Cooper Tisdale, Waterlines, The Steve Rieck Trio, and Ryan Strickland (aka Zodiac). The songs you're listening to are music that I have recorded with various artists. I usually perform 4-5 gigs per week. Please feel free to email me and I'd be happy to let you know where I'm performing. thanks :-) Charley
