The project Ancient Light started in November 2006, from Alone (guitar and bass) and Dave (voice and lyrics).
The band was born from the ashes of the gothic band Winterlight. At the time Alone was in activity with Bodygrinder while Dave was working on his folk metal project.
The first compositions of Ancient Light were written in a black metal old school style, simple and minimal like the song“Ragnarokâ€, then they changed their style searching a more complex sound.
Their musical influence grew from the raw black metal like Darkthrone to more melodic parts, to arrive on a slowly and atmospheric sound, all seasoned with Nordic Mythology and natural/pagan elements.
All songs of “Until the End†were written between January and March
2007 and on the end of the same mounth Ancient Light entered in studio to
record guitar and bass parts.
The recordings take back in October cause others unexpected problems. In the first days of 2008 the demo “Until the end†saw the light, since then we are working for the publications of it, searching for a label and writing of new songs for the next LP.IF SOMEONE IS INTERESTED TO BUY OUR DEMO "UNTIL THE END" PLEASE SEND A PM.
