About Me

Writing a self-nerative is like torture to me. So! I will just give you the highlights: *Yes, my glasses are real. *I have an advanced degree in a fairly useless field from an Ivy League College. *Dispite being very bright I am spelling-challenged. *I have a low speaking and singing voice. *Although I have no real desire to move back to New York I have a deep longing for the east coast every fall and winter. *Comedy and humor are very important to me--everything from Three Stooges to Noel Coward. *The perfect way to get me to do something is to say you'll do it with me. *My best friend is a cop. But he's one of the good cops. *I don't mind being in my 30's but any time I'm carded I say "I could kiss you on the mouth" which puts off some of the check -out guys at Safeway. *I own and love a chihuahua. Don't rush to judge--she's a lovely little dog. *I will almost always have water and gum on my person. *When I recently took the Myers Briggs test my results said I would be most fulfilled being a Top Executive, and I found this highly humorous. . . .more to come . . .

My Interests

Live theatre, movies, comic books, books, books, books . . .oh, and my dog.

I'd like to meet:

I find this incredibly hard. I find my mind and heart vast and expansive. It's ability to take in and accept others never cease to amaze me. But if you can make me laugh I'll like you. If you can make me laugh while teaching me something I never knew before I'll be facinated.

Music:

I like everything from show tunes to Chopin.

Movies:

I really like movies, so this is a sort of unfair question. My tops are Victor/Victoria, Out of the Past, 007 Films, Donnie Darko, Memento, and who didn't like Lord of the Rings?, SciFi and superhero movies, horror flicks . . oh, geeze, I see everything . . .

Television:

I don't get to watch a lot of TV.

Books:

Running With Scissors, Dry, I Know This Much is True, She's Come Undone, anything by David Sedaris, Sandman, old X-man, Preacher, Hellblazer, almost anything by Allan Moore, Transmetropolitan, Hellboy, Sin City, I just started to read 100 Bullets and I like it, . . .too many to mention here

Heroes:

Those with quick instincts that I admire and respect
