Though "undefined" I am;) a snippet of words might include c.e.o., executive, television producer, performer, actress, journalist, lifestylist, sister, daughter, soror (member of the oldest black greek letter organization founded in 1908 -- Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.), BRAND, brand builder (references are always fact checked and seen on site)...perhaps covering the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors to the Presidential Gala or the NFL Kickoff Celebration to the Grammy's or Globes...wherever "successful" follows completion...extremely loyal (redundant) however it means the world to me. An artist at all times...a HEART who loves with so much "FEROCITY" that it creates caution within the human soul...but I know that FAITH is more powerful than fear....therefore I persevere. LOVE first...even though laborious at times. My family is number one. My TRUE friends are indeed fabulous and uber successful as well...meaning they save lives, make & enforce laws, and are big stars (not to mention make stars) yet still fun and don't take themselves too serious. sharing pearls of wisdom. blessings will b returned twofold. balance is key. my parents taught me very well. treat people the way you want to be treated. But every so often in this beautiful God given life a good LOVE comes along that makes this girl feel like a true princess again. Love, laughter and even tears at times is everything. LOL right now at my son who filled fruit punch in the mini ice cube container...as I thought to myself;) I used to do the exact same thing. so I gave him a big hug. By the way, I love hugs...and I love writing LOVE letters especially when I've said the wrong things. I love honesty and sincerity. it makes smooth transitions. prayer answers. and God is good.

These words by those I admire are humbling and appreciative. Her cross country trek to Tinseltown with a dollar and a dream was both arduous and courageous. Forsaking the East Coast comfort and stability for my family was one of the toughest decisions of my life. Her fruits of labor and confident attitude towards achieving the finer things in life that we ALL over the world deserve is finally paying off. One of her favorite self described quotes..."I feel famous even though I am not a celebrity". Monica's PRODUCER credits cover the gamut. From news and entertainment to politics. Her ACTING credits are gaining ground. Ironically, her first national TV appearance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live was playing a Reporter. She started her news career for the ABC Affiliate in Washington, DC as a production assistant where she was quickly promoted to Assignment and Planning Editor because of her excellent judgment and quick pulse on everything happening in the city. She was later tapped as a Segment Producer for Lead Anchor and National Association of Black Journalist Founder Maureen Bunyan setting up out of the studio shoots with the late great Johnny Cochran "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit"...without casting judgment...how genius? Quintessential news Journalist Sam Donaldson and Georgetown University Head Basketball Coach John Thompson to name a few. Following in the footsteps of a lot of industry giants, she decided to hone her abilities on the executive side as a Communications Manager for BET's News and Public Affairs Programming. Capitalizing on every God given opportunity, respected media personality Tavis Smiley noticed her stand out talent and after his network departure he offered Monica independent project and event management positions. Juggling jobs has always been my style. While working as an executive for Discovery Networks, she spent off time and weekends as a producer for the Capitol Hill Bureau of Entertainment Tonight. After maximizing her full potential in Washington, DC her sights were set on the city of dreams. Though no easy task, her challenge was significantly greater as a single mother. While shopping for grapes in her favorite grocery store "Trader Joes", her charm and focus was in full force. Talking to anyone who would listen with a smile in tow paid off again. An NBC head set up points of contact with key players at Access Hollywood and the rest of that story was early morning editorial meetings, Red Carpet interviews with major film and TV Stars, and behind the scene set visits on some of your favorite award winning shows like "Friends" and "Girlfriends". From Oscar to Emmy. Morning to night. Any work is much like an eat, sleep and breathe additive. Taking a stab on the talk show circuit landed Monica a Show Producer Role for the first season of the fabulous Tyra Banks Show. But her heart was still in making a difference. A lifetime opportunity to work for national network news. Off to cover The Michael Jackson Trial and other amazing stories as a producer for ABC's Good Morning America. Prayer and believing in myself is key. Monica's tenacious drive to do whatever I have to do to make my dream a reality is without question. Her half hour docustyle TV Show "The New Dating Story" recently aired nationally on TLC, a Discovery owned network with over 96 million viewers. She played a HONDA Customer and a Acura Client on a International HONDA Web based training which will be seen worldwide and translated in five different languages. She played a Schoolteacher in a Obama Mockumentary by Swedish Producers and was interviewed for "The Punannny Diaries" about love, sex, relationships and monogamy. **Stay tuned for "ALL THINGS MONICA" clips and more**.
