Starting Over

About Me

A friend of mine had this to say about me:
Victor is a unique songwriter and a beautiful guitarist his match can not be found among the plethora of Australian musicians. His stories unrepentantly weave the landscape of South America into the mind of the listener.
And I had this to say about me, in the third person of course...
Victor was born in Buenos Aires, lazed his way through childhood in Salta, Santa Cruz de la Sierra and Barcelona, matured and graduated in Christchurch, erred and sinned and continue to age and wise up in Sydney.
It was through an existential crisis that Victor found his way to the guitar, la señorita, and realised how he could account for endless hours of ignoring the housework with a song.
Despite Victor's lyrics predominantly in Spanish, his potent emotional performances leave the audience in no doubt of the message of his songs.
Victor's music takes its roots from the Andes, Las Pampas, the Tropics, with a dash of childhood influence from his son and a little bit of andalucian duende.

“La música es una de las cosas que puede salvar al mundo, porque un hombre que busca y encuentra y se solaza horas y días y años y años luz, a través de generaciones, con la belleza, ¿qué otra cosa puede querer que un mundo mejor?”. (A.Y.)
"Music is one of the things that can save the world, because for a man who seeks and finds, and for hours and days and years and light years, over generations, finds pleasure with the beauty, what else can one want but a better world? ". (A.Y.)

The Dream

It is quite possible, and indeed very likely, that one's cleverness can conjure a parade of beautifully threaded words to convey some purposeful meaning; and the meaning glows each time the sentences ...
