Just me. Club80s.com, AlternativeClassix.com pastorally addicted me.
Okay, you all ask me how I ended up with Club80s.com Internet radio with DJ Lex. Well, see, it all started on one hot summer day back in 2000-something. I was sitting in my non air conditioned office with the windows open, sweating. It didn't help that I was on the second floor of a building in a heavy intersection with lots of extra heat pumping at me from all the computer systems I happened to have in my office. In order to get peace and quiet, I listened to the radio. Internet radio. Specifically, Club 80s with DJ Lex.
My life instantly improved as does everyone with a taste for the B-Sides and remixes of our favourite 80s and post 80s artists. Questions started swilling in my head. I finally had to ask them. So I plucked out an email to DJ Lex and asked. "Ever heard a song that goes like..." and "Would you please play.." etc. A day later, I actually got a response. From the DJ. A real, live, breathing DJ - in this case, Lex.
A few months passed, and next thing you know I'm lending a helping hand. And a few months after that, we launched Club 80s MySpace. Hehehe We made new friends!
Today, our team works hard to bring you the best of New Wave, 80's classics, 80s inspired musicans of today and the best in remixes accross the decade. If you listen closely, you might even hear me bringing you the Alternative Classix news. Who woulda thunk?!?!?

I'd like to meet:

Hesiod. You figure it out.
Ooo! And St. Paul. Would LOVE to pick his brain for a week or two!

Music:

New Wave at Club 80's - I serve as the "Official" Door Girl. Jazz, Trip hop/down tempo etc, classical, indie & acoustic, classical hymns, country and blues, as well as an occassional and very specific drummer... Oh! And Acoustic Shadows of the Blue & Gray . Everyone loves Civil War tunes, right?

"Now you're drifting in circles In the depths of your soul..." Soul Mining, The The

Movies:

Documentaries. Action/adventure. Historically based action flicks. Will rent comedy. Will call for artsy flicks on demand. Will pretend I'm not watching romance. Will turn off the trash.

Television:

How about leaving it to the stations I would watch if I had the time? FOXNews, CNN, History, Discovery, A&E, and probably whatever station carries the Golden Girls.

Books:

Good things to read. Try the obvious one - the Bible. After that, Through the Gates of Splendor. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (series). Pride and Prejudice. Anything Tolstoy, Berkoff. Anything Action/Adventure/Mystery, theology, philosophy, or historical. Unfortunately, I go through books way too quickly...

Heroes:

Well, Christ, obviously. But when it comes to earthly heroes, this world doesn't have enough. At the moment, my heroes are the people who throw away the world's impression of success in exchange for generosity, kindness, gentleness and peace. I've found it takes a great deal of courage to stand for pure qualities like honor and love rather than giving into the race to be number one. Anyone who has their priorities in order is a hero to me.

Additionally, my friend John who found reasons to never say "can't".
