About Me

The trio of RUNT hail from Geordieland, UK (That's Newcastle-Upon- Tyne to you and me, North-East of England). Runt are a dedicated team of outlaw rockers with ex-members having had experience in other bands, "The Almighty", "Tygers of Pan Tang", "Hellbastard", "Reign" to name but a few. Fronted by Mr Nicholas Parsons (Vocals/Guitars), with Mr Gav Gray, (Bass/B.Vox) and Ronnie Mclean on drums, RUNT have received excellent international response to their debut on Fury76 Records. The band are busy currently recording their new EP for whatever label will release it. Sounding like Texas' finest indie-pop-druglords "Queens Of The Stone Age" whilst rocking out with the psychotic sickness of Seattle's wierdos, "Alice InChains", RUNT are on their way to claim the throne of outlaw rock. A USA tour for 2006/early 2007 is currently being planned. RUNT continue to blow us away with their own unique brand of finely tuned rock 'n roll. Check out this machine now and never look back. Sounds Like: RUNT/THE ATTIC SESSIONS (FURY 76) Naming this band RUNT is clearly a misnomer, as this band is far from diminutive in musical stature. Instead, they are a fierce new rock band from the UK that boasts two-thirds of UK rock luminaries THE ALMIGHTY in its ranks. This blistering trio plays the kind of contagious hard rock that a combination of Helmet, Alice in Chains, and Thumb would make if joined together. Gritty, barked vocals attack your ears as a pummeling array of flailing guitars and cymbals collide with bulky bass lines anchoring the heaviness. Tracks like the serpentine staccato of Exit and the relentless Oversize are examples of unmitigated hard rock aggression at its finest. Underground, but not for long, THE ATTIC SESSIONS, with its metallic sheen and hardcore overtones, is a release that will make you stand up and take notice. -Mike SOS/ROCKBOTTOM MAGAZINE
