Band Members: I am the only One. I'm a vocalist and produce, but I don't really play any instruments. So if you like the sound of my vocals, and you've got an instrumental something going on, scream at me. I'm looking for musicians to work with.
Influences: (In no particular order) The Mars Volta, Justice, Steely Dan, Isaac Hayes, Danny Elfman, John Barry, Jonsun Crew (Space Cowboy) the whole Jungle Era (AquaSky, Blackmarket, Stevie Hyper D (R.I.P), Brockie, Dett), Tupac Shakur, Talib Kweli, Common, Nas, Das EFX, Grave Diggaz, Scarface, Eric Sermon, Cormega, DMX, Jay-Z, Lost Boyz, Biggie, Mobb Deep, Dr Dre, Jazzy Jeff, Rick James, Timbaland, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie and the Commodores, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson (of old), Swing Out Sister, the whole 80's Era, Outkast, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Darkness, Frank Sinatra, Mozart, Paul Hardcastle, John Coltrane, Sunny Ade, Fela (and all the other Nigerian music my Ma plays), Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Omar, K-OS, Curtis Mayfield, The Bee Gees, Jamiroquai, Fat Larry's Band (Zoom), Gnarls Barkley...
Sounds Like: Musically, vocally and lyrically, I probably have a touch of most of the people mentioned above. People have said I remind them of the likes of Common, Talib Kweli, Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie...whatever. I sound like me more than anything else.
