Take a look at Shannon D. Coleman and you will understand why she is one of the most sought after new faces in today's entertainment world. Her exotic features, coupled with good girl figure leaves lasting first impressions. However, there is much more to this Alabama native than meets the eye.
Growing up in Birmingham, a city not quite known for its diversity and culture, Shannon found a way to feed her gift and talent. In 2003, she was crowned Homecoming Queen for E.B. Erwin high and later went on to Graduate class of 2004. Shannon then attended Jefferson State College and majored in Forensic Science & Criminal Justice and now T.v./Broadcasting. She went on to join Upscale Models in Birmingham where she learned how shady the modeling could be but also gained success from the situation. Now an independent model, she is working on becoming an T.v. Host and in hopes of one day having her own show.
Within the past year, Shannon has modeled for Ford cars,Chosen face for Kahula Liquior,and made her debut appearance in T-pain video "Bartender" which went #1 in the country and played everyday on BET,Vh1,and Mtv. Recently, she has done Huey "G5" and Yung Joc videos, and also a spread with former models in The Birmingham Weekly.
Miss Coleman has been very selective about the work she involves herself in. Many opportunities have been presented to her but she sees herself as the next "Cover Girl." Any work that involves an classy appeal you can count her in! What attracted her most about the opportunity to appear in the videos was the fact that she would have a chance to network and display her acting skills.
So what is next for this beautiful model hailing from the forgotten state Alabama? Currently Shannon is one of five hosts for an new Hiphop/urban show called "The Hotspot" that will air in 08. She is also building her portfolio and planning to travel outside of the country. Miss Shannon has an membership website coming and also an Exotic/Glamor Calendar coming soon. On set, Shannon has displayed a strong work ethic, screen presence, and tremendous acting ability, which will make her transition from model to Host/Actress a smooth one.
