Infinite-Lane Highway

Too much of a good thing is not enough

About Me

Montreal-born Marc Savoie is the founder of INFINITE-LANE HIGHWAY . It has been his pet project since 2004 though some of the songs were written in the mid-nineties when he was the leader of THE GRADUATES.

Marc’s musical career began in 1989 when he made it to the finals of Le Festival de la chanson de Granby (Granby's song festival) a renown French Canadian song writing contest. A folk singer at the time, Marc rapidly switched to rock and went on to record two independent albums with PRESTER JOHN, an alternative rock band he had formed with college buddies. Internal tensions as well as Marc’s musical evolution towards more mainstream material led to the creation THE GRADUATES in 1996, a band for which he wrote some of his most memorable songs.

In 2000, Marc decided to take a break from the local music scene to focus on his professional and personal life. But he never stopped writing songs or listening to his favourites albums, from the Beatles’ Revolver to Tom Petty’s Wildflowers or Sheryl Crow’s second opus. Hence the INFINITE-LANE HIGHWAY project, that has slowly grown from a ten songs project into a more generous sixteen songs album.

***
