I'd like to meet:
LE PROGRAMME "MARE URDINA"
Le programme « Mare Urdina » a pour vocation de mettre en réseau tous les acteurs d’un développement durable du littoral transfrontalier : institutionnels, entreprises privées, associations et bien sûr le grand public pour mener un ambitieux programme de :
- Protection de l’environnement,
- Sensibilisation/ éducation,
- Valorisation du patrimoine,
- Information/ mobilisation du grand public sur le développement durable.
Né de la rencontre entre l’Euskal Herriko Surf Federazioa et Surfrider Foundation Europe, ce programme constitue notre réponse à l’appel à projet de la Commission Européenne dans le cadre du programme de financement communautaire Interreg IV A France Espagne et dont le dépôt du dossier se fera le 30 Juin 2008.
Le jeudi 12, se tiendra la journée Environnement, animée par des films et autres activités, ainsi que par la présentation officielle du programme transfrontalier d’activités sur le littoral Basque, Mare Urdina, à l’occasion de la conférence de presse qui se tiendra à 12 heures, à l’aquarium de Donostia San Sebastian.
Mare Urdina prolongera sa campagne de lancement en juin, juillet, août, et septembre autour d'événements célébrant le patrimoine naturel et mobilisant la population.
Ce projet se compose de plusieurs volets et débute avec le Paddle lors de la Journée Mondiale des Océans le 8 juin, suivi par le Surfilm Festibal de San Sebastian du 12 au 15 juin 2008.
Le dimanche 22 juin se tenait le Surfing Day, journée dédiée au surf à travers l’Europe.
Les évènements à venir sont :
- Jeux Nautiques Atlantiques Euskadi 2008 : présence de Surfrider Foundation Europe sur le site de compétition Surf à Sopelana avec la Fédération basque de Surf (Euskal Herriko Surf Federazioa). Du 19 au 25 juillet.
- Anglet Beach Rugby Festival 2008 : présence de Surfrider Foundation Europe sur le village du festival avec animation et sensibilisation à l'environnement. Du 25 au 27 juillet.

THE "MARE URDINA" PROGRAM
The « Mare Urdina » program is dedicated towards building a network between all sustainable development decision makers from the transborder coastlines: institutions, private companies, organisations and the general public. This network wants to lead a challenging program of:
- Environmental protection,
- Awareness raising/Education,
- Increase the value of natural heritage,
- Information/Mobilisation of the general public on sustainable development.
Arising from the meeting between the Euskal Herriko Surf Federazioa (Basque Country Surfing Federation) and Surfrider Foundation Europe, this program constitutes the answer to the project request from the European Commission for their program of community financing Interreg IV A France Spain, and has to be delivered by June 30th, 2008.
On June 12th, the Environement day will take place, this will include movies and other activities, and also the official presentation of the Transborder Activities of the Basque Country Coastline Program, Mare Urdina, during the Press Conference at 12 a.m., in the aquarium of Donostia San Sebastian.
Mare Urdina will continue its launching campaign in June, July, August and September on events celebrating natural heritage and raising awareness in people.
This project is accompanied by various events, and started with a “Paddle Out†which took place during the International Ocean Day on June 8th in Hendaye. It will continue with the Surfilm Festibal of San Sebastian from June 12th to 15th, 2008.
On Sunday June 22nd, took place the Surfing Day, a day dedicated to surfing all around Europe.
The next events are the following:
- Atlantic Nautical Games Euskadi 2008: presence of Surfrider Foundation Europe on the Surfing competition in Sopelana. From 19th till 25th July.
- Anglet Beach Rugby Festival 2008: presence of Surfrider Foundation Europe on the festival town with environment awareness and animations. From 25th till 27th July.
