Since 1987, the Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association (MARIA) has promoted the work of Manitoba artists and has provided professional development services to help music industry workers succeed as cultural entrepreneurs. Through its programs and services, MARIA helps people in the music industry find their community and build sustainable careers.

Computers (loaded with software), high speed internet, CD burners, scanner, photocopier, printer, fax, postage machine, music library, industry books, magazines, funding applications, one-on-one consultations with staff, and free coffee. Yep, free coffee.

Members get a profile page on our website including: sound clips, bio, image, gig listing, contact info, news, and discography. Members also get a username and password to the Members Only section, allowing for easy update of profile pages and access to online resources like training modules and contract templates.

MARKET ACCESS PROGRAM
MAP, administered with Manitoba Film & Sound , funds artists and industry professionals get to music conferences, showcases (NXNE, CMW, WCMA, etc.), and other events. You do not need to be a MARIA member to be elligible for MAP funding.
