Unopened Walls.Beyond Solace wanted to step out of its shell this time around and touch upon current events that are happening around the world. Such songs as All Smashed, Age of the Evolution & Leaders talk about the war in Iraq. The lies by President Bush and his hunger for power & oil are illustrated in Age of the Evolution.
You can almost picture yourself in the line of fire in the combat boots of an American soldier when listening to the lyrics of All Smashed.
Also a first for the band they went to their roots and wrote a Spanish Rock song called " Amnistia " ( Amnesty ) that talks about the protest marches that took place nation wide across the U.S. on May 1, 2006. Beyond Solace was there on the streets of their home town Los Angeles fighting for equal rights and opportunity of those who come to America in search of a better life.
Territory Wars illustrates how lives are lost in war when to opposition fight over land. Whether it be do to gang violence or middle eastern warfare. The two have claimed innocent lives in its path for control over an imaginary line.
If you want to call it a Political album do to the context of the lyrics then so be it. Beyond Solace is not affraid of being labeled. They are true to the music they create. Enjoy!!!
