To pursue an authentic and original endeavor IS the American way. Made up of four gifted and diligent musicians, The Americans embody this idea within their original music; their art. Busting through the walls that define the genres of hip-hop, jazz, jam, rock, and funk – these boys are doing a style of music that has never been played. Hailing from Minnesota, The Americans made their way to Denver hoping to dig a community that supports its artists. With that support, a responsibility is collectively felt among its members to communicate, through word and instrument, a sense of urgency for awareness in a society and country plagued by its own constructs and apathy. Their humbling hope is to reach a captive audience, establishing conversation that is, in their perspective, succumbing to the monotonous drone of television sets and automobiles – all while helping to define what it is to truly be an American.
