For the benefit of keen listening, delightful sounds, and original audio, we are proud to present to you, eager audience, a production collective of imaginable proportions. Yes join one and all in the Closet Plant Records experience, equipped with fire breathing angels, high flying trapeze Bobbies, and most importantly, cliff diving mermaids who plunge into very small and shallow pools. So come one, come all; come short, come tall to an astounding place where no amount of imagination is lost at all. We have bootlegs, b-sides, brontosaurus bones, love potions, and many other various trinkets and treasures to behold. It's truly a family affair.
Closet Plant Records started growing in early 2008 when Wonkley put a seed in the dirt in the corner. Well then it just kept growing and growing and before we knew it, CPR was all over. From the north shore near Duluth we found the Two Beat Band and he knew the One Beat Band so they found the Half Beat Band. Double K heard about it and took Piccadilly Circus to tell El Monster Fresco in Sweden who immediately filled the first boat over. Soon after, Wonkley went searching for cacti in New Mexico and CPR found Sean Bond Goon and His Psychological Voodoo and even the americans in Denver on the way back. Biehler was vetoed around this time and J.S. somehow acquired the Magic Hat. Meanwhile in Minneapolis, Frowning Trees started making music everywhere and the Marshall Stompers just wouldn’t stop making noise. Daily Dose dropped twice on Double K and CPR melted for a moment. At that point it was determined that, yes, indeed, plants want to grow like people want to have fun.
Our plan for CPR is to make people happy and dance and sing. We want to trade, swap, barter, showcase, highlight, promote, etc. music, art, fun, bicycles, life, love, etc. We already have oodles of tunes, bootlegs, art prints, antiques, poems, jars, and memories. Don't be a stranger. We are simple folk, just steadily working our way through the fields and streets and venues. We travel on foot, bicycle, in buses, trains, automobiles and even sometimes flying machines. Try and find us; we’re usually around.
Closet Plant Records would like to grow. We are young. Would you like us to shout about your music from the biggest building in Minneapolis, the tallest tree on the countryside, and the highest mountain in the west? Let us know. Or, if you just want to party, let us know. We have so much fun we don't know what to do with it all. Tell your friends and families about us, and we will do the same for you in return.
