Jacuzzi Fuzz hails from the insanely diverse city of Miami, FL and plays a blend of Reggae and Rock with roots that recall Grunge, Rocksteady, and a time when good music ruled the airwaves.
BIO ------ The overall vibe that the band stemmed from was the idea to start a different type of band, different than the norm. Something that would stand out. Something with spirit, but also with an unusual name, and could become and unforgettable blend of their influences of grunge rock, soulful reggae, and everything in between.
Since their first show in December 2002, the band has equipped their sets with an arsenal of songs, released an EP and 6 different sampler/demos, played numerous shows, clubs, towns, backyard parties, etc.
In 2004 they released the Mourning Miami EP, which was composed of tracks put together from different recording sessions at a few studios. An intro into the sights and sounds to come, this album demonstrated a few roads the band was taking at the time, including a crowd favorite called "Get Ruff ", & a dancehall inspired track with Jamaican recording artist Mighty Lion . The collaboration, "Reel-Up, Rewind ", was featured on the Mourning Miami EP as well as on Mighty Lion's album Different Shades of the Mind , as well as in Miambiance magazine's 2004 issue.
In 2005, JF distributed a few hundred copies (of the now out-of-print) demos entitled "Nothing to Kill Yourself Over". They have since played several mini-tours up and down Florida, in which they made several contacts and friends along the way.
The latest project the band has been working on is a much anticipated album set to be put out by TreeHouse Records, which they have started recording with an increased musicianship, a better collective musicality, more in-depth lyrics, and an open mind about recording techniques, layers, and improvisation. There is no release date, but it will be released in the very near future.
