Hello my name is del and things are definitely looking up. I put a lot of things right this week. I have a new full-time job, working for Pell & Bales, a telemarketing company that works on behalf of charities. So not only does my job pay well, but it's good karma because it's for a good cause. Debts are slowly but surely being paid off. Work have given me time off to go and see Biffy play in London on Tuesday, and I might be seeing them twice next week too. I haven't seen more than one Biffy date on a tour since 2005. My ban from The Works was cut to three months, which is better than nothing.
Every week I reprezent da Hinchley Hood endz either by going to New Noise or Collision @ Bacchus, or New Slang @ The Works. I've only ever missed two New Slangs thus far, which considering my hectic tour schedule, is pretty good going. I might never get to go to again. :(
I've realised lately that my massive tolerance for alcohol is why I end up drinking so much, and also why I end up spending so much money on nights out. I have discovered that if I have a bottle of wine in 15 minutes on the bus into Kingston, this not only makes me a very happy drunk but it means I spend less when out. Winner.
This pretty much made my week:
I am currently "living the dream" by being in a band , running and DJing at my own gig / club night and putting on gigs in and around Kingston and London.
I play hockey and work at Surbiton Hockey Club. We are now in the 'close season' so I am going running every day in an effort to stay fit / lose some weight.
- Probably won't add you if you're an annoying cunt.
- Probably will add you if you have a decent taste in music (I'll be the judge).
- Probably will then tell you to listen to some other under-rated bands.
- If you're in a band and send me a message, don't expect it to be replied to. Unless you're already on my friends list. In which case, carry right on.
You should do all your music shopping here. Trust.
You should go dancing here. Trust.
You should also go dancing here. True.
