Hi folks!
Plenty of good new stuff out this week with singles from BANGBANGBANG! on our own New Slang label, FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE, FOALS, LAURA MARLING, WE ARE SCIENTISTS and PULL TIGER TAIL. On the albums front there is the debut one from hotly tipped Swede LYKKE LI, and the MYSTERY JETS album gets reissued with a bonus track.
On the shows front it's a busy week! Tonight the awesome FALL OF TROY play at The Peel, then on Thursday MUNICIPAL WASTE play at the same venue. After that show on Thursday you can make your way down to NEW SLANG to see the brilliant JOHNNY FOREIGNER. If you get a flyer from the Municipal Waste show you can get in to New Slang for just £1 too! Then on Saturday night ZOLOF THE ROCK & ROLL DESTROYER headline at The Fighting Cocks.It's a big week for singles, and our priority is with the debut 7" from BANGBANGBANG! which we love so much, we released it on our own New Slang Records label. Awesome riot grrl-esque punk rock that fans of bands like Be Your Own Pet will love! There aren't many left because so many have been pre-ordered, so be quick and you can get a signed one too! There's also a brilliant singles from FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE on Moshi Moshi. This girl is surely set for big things year with one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. The b-side is great too; a sultry cover of Cold War Kids' 'Hospital Beds'. I saw her play last year, and even back then you could tell she was something a bit special. As well as that there's new releases from shop favourites FOALS, LAURA MARLING, and WE ARE SCIENTISTS.

Swedish sensation LYKKE LI has been tipped for big things this year since here fist UK release a few months back on the Moshi Moshi Singles Club. Since then she seems to have been on tour constantly, and now releases her debut album! Also out this week is a re-issue of one of our albums of the year so far from MYSTERY JETS which has a bonus track and slightly more colourful art-work. There's also a debut mini-album from one of the best named bands ever DANANANANAYKROYD, and we're still all over the debut album from JOHNNY FOREIGNER that came out last week. They play at New Slang on Thursday!

Out now is the latest from H20. No, not that (awful) bassline house stuff, the true melodic hardcore band from yesteryear. But they're back with a new album and if you're a bit cynical on hearing this (especially after the last album was, for many, a disappointment) then don't worry cos this is back to their 1995 posi-woah-a-long punk on a level as much with old skool bands like Seven Seconds, Sick Of It All, Gorilla Biscuits as it is with todays new skool bunch like New Found Glory or Set Your Goals. We're stoked to have them at The Peel soon. Kingston's got some pretty sick punk and hardcore shows coming up from the likes of Capdown, Fall Of Troy, Municipal Waste, Gallows etc and more to be announced.
