DiaZero was formed in Atlanta, GA, July of 2002
by Charly Diaz, Jorge Sanchez, Alejandro Puente, Luis Fernando and Alex Martinez.
However the actual members since March of 2007 are:
Luis Fernando, Alex, Uriel and Enciso.
The name of the band, DiaZero, means day zero; for the members day zero means the day of a new life. Their day zero is the beginning of DiaZero which is their most important project.
The members of the band have different backgrounds.
Luis Gomez,(Bass) and chorus, comes from Mexico. He has played with different metal and alternative rock bands in the U.S. Besides the bass guitar, he has also played the drums and guitar in different bands.
Uriel (Drums) is an experienced musician in different music streams. He has played different types of music in different bands in the states. His style is unique and extremely versatile.
Alex Martinez(Main Guitar) of Mexican nationality, guitars, chorus and screams; he plays a variety of rock streams and has experienced with classical music as well. He is also talented at playing the bass guitar, which he played for a long time in a band in Mexico.
Enciso... ( Main Vocals ) an experienced musician and vocalist straight out from Guadalajara, Jal. Mexico.. he is the one who puts down the lyrics and the best part of it..... "the feeling". He also plays Guitar, Bass, Drums, Congas, Keyboard ...and has experience with all of them .
They have combined their ideas and musical backgrounds to create their own music and style which they call alternative hard rock.
The band has had extensive experience playing alongside some very important and international rock bands such as: Juanes, Enanitos Verdes, Pastilla, Reyli,Enjambre, Maldita vecindad, Victimas del Doctor Cerebro, Inspector, "Molotov", Soniko, La Rua, Transmetal, Leprosy, Subatomico etc.
This experience has provided for the public recognition of the band throughout the spanish rock circuit in Atlanta, GA.
During the auditions for the Vivelo music event, the band was elected as the best Spanish rock band of the city, on several times, grabbing the Press and media attention such as UNIVISION & VIVA Radiostation The members of the band have also done extensive travels to play at different venues and cities along Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, New york, new jersey, Texas, Tennessee, California and Chicago.
Our goals, as a band, are very concrete. We want to export our music to everyone who wants to listen to something new and full of energy and good vibe. Music is a very important part of our lives and the music we produce comes from the inner part of our spirit (DiaZero)
