About Me

Subatomico comienza su carrera musical dentro de la escena de rock en español en Septiembre del 2002 después de la finalización de CF3 (proyecto pop electrónico integrado por tres de los miembros de Subatomico). Roberto Guzmán, vocalista principal y productor de la banda, decidió darle nuevo sonido a su proyecto y ponerle un toque agresivo y a la vez melódico a su música. Esto lo realizo al invitar a Roberto "Charlie" Tovar a colaborar en lo que finalmente llego a ser conocido como el primer álbum de larga duración para Subatomico, “Dolor Es Placer” (Blue Door Records, 2006).
A partir del verano del 2004 hasta el verano del 2006, Subatomico realizo extensas giras a través de los Estados Unidos dejando huella en ciudades como Houston, Los Ángeles, Nueva York, San Antonio, San Diego, y Atlanta, entre otras. La excelente recepción de fanáticos de la música alternativa en español eventualmente los llevo a participar en el soundtrack oficial para el documental sobre inmigración, "Fuerza" (Soluz Films). Además, han tenido el honor de compartir escenario con grandes bandas como: Fobia, Enanitos Verdes, Plastilina Mosh, Tisuby Y Georgina, Zoe, La Mosca, Soraya, Malo, Aleks Syntek, etc., y por ultimo Lucybell, ídolos que influyeron el estilo de Subatomico.
Hasta el momento, Subatomico se reconoce por ser la banda más activa de Chicago y ha recibido mucha atención de los medios de comunicación más importantes del medio-oeste, incluyendo Telemundo, Boom, Bazuca Magazine y Enchufate.
Subatomico se compone de: Roberto Guzmán (voz/guitarra/teclados), Roberto "LOSIO" Tovar (guitarra), Luis Centeno (bajo/teclados), Anthony "Batz" Quintanilla (batería).
