PEE AIR is Pierre de Gaillande, a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter-composer born in Paris, France, raised in California, and living in New York City.
He plays in these New York bands; MELOMANE (www.melomane.org) and THE SNOW (myspace.com/thesnowmusic) and sometimes MOREX OPTIMO (morexoptimo.com). He also plays and records occasionally with C. Gibbs (www.myspace.com/cgibbs), Sea Foxx (www.myspace.com/seafoxx), and The Sharp Things (wwww.thesharpthings.com).
Melomane are about to embark on a summer tour of the south of France. They recently recorded a song with singer/songwriter Eleni Mandell for Canadian label Bonsound, due out sometime in October.
The Snow are in the process of mixing their first album with producer Bryce Goggin at his celebrated Trout Studios.
Pierre was recently involved in two film projects; he composed the score for a documentary called "Dr. Bronner's Magic Soapbox", about the legendary soap-maker and spiritual visionary, directed by Sara Lamm (www.magicsoapbox.com) which premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival in San Francisco in October and played in theaters across the USA starting July 2007.
He also did some shooting, editing, and composing music for a documentary about the indie-psychedelic-Christian-folk band the Danielson Famile, directed by Sonny Aronson (www.danielsonmovie.com).
