Sea Foxx is a supergroup side project of Pierre de Gaillande, singer-guitarist for the band Melomane, with Adrianne Mamet on vocals, Steve Calhoon (formerly of Skeleton Key and Monopuff, now in Pretendo) on drums, Jen Carey (Vanity Set, formerly in Gogol Bordello) on tuba, Anna Moschovakis on violin, and Earl Norman on keyboards.
Sea Foxx's new album "Dead in the Water" is here! Sea Foxx has been compared to the Smurfs meet Sebadoh, or Cat Power singing with a marching band. It's beautiful, haunting, lush, original pop with unorthodox instrumentation. The band's remarkable debut album "Dead in the Water" has songs about Henry Darger (Creatures on the Wing), quaker orgies (Easter Sunday Quaker Orgy) and driving tanks over sheep (French You.) It also has catchy hooks that will stay with you like a pesky rash after a Bulgarian make-out party.
