I'm picking my nose, RIGHT NOW

About Me

I'm about as crazy as a neatly made bed.
But hey, on occasion, I'm accidentially hilarious. Let's see. I'm a reporter for a community newspaper in a Minnesota city where the median income is $80,000 ... not really the kind of diversity I imagined I'd report on while I was in journalism school ... It's a long way from the offices at the Washington Post, so if you happen to work there, or know someone who works there, let me know.
I believe passionately in the pursuit of knowledge and information. Education has a distinct advantage over violence in eliminating fear and injustice. Funny, but it seems societies typically elect the latter to solve problems of fear. This is also why I tend to distrust religion, especially the growing fundamentalism happening everywhere in the world. Spirituality is no longer being used to instruct, but rather a mechanism to push more fear and intolerance.
My goal is to attempt to break this cycle one person at a time.
