Basking outside in the sunshine, enjoying the beautiful Central Coast weather. Camping and hiking, as long as bears don't eat me. Or alternatively, snuggled up inside with a good book, movie or boy. Other loves: Dogs, (mainly my own cute, old ones), animals of any kind, cat glasses, school psychology, assessments, writing. Sorry, I now know your IQ because you read this.

Currently, I am so emo, it hurts. Literally. I like the Dresden Dolls obsessively right now. "Songs about sex and cheating/Bland accounts of two lovers meeting...make me want to give mankind a beating!" I am also fond of ABBA, the Who, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd.
My favorite movies of all time are Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and Donnie Darko. Basically, I like indies, musicals, and campy movies. I also like horror movies because they absolutely petify me: I have to peek through my fingers like a little girl at the carnage! I tend to stay away from the mainstream, medicore fluff and go for the extremes. Some directors I like: John Waters, David Lynch, Russ Meyer, Lars Von Trier, Ang Lee (except the Hulk), Wes Anderson, Atom Egoyan, Alexander Payne, Todd Haynes, early Tim Burton, and Todd Solodnz.
Six Feet Under, Lost, Law and Order-SVU, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Twin Peaks, My So-Called Life, Freaks and Geeks, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and House. Ohh, and What Not to Wear!
Um, the librarians all know me by name. That's telling you something. I read everything I can get my hands on. Favorite authors: Michael Chabon, David Sedaris, Tom Perrotta, Stephen King, Jane Austen, and Sylvia Plath. Last book read: Under the Banner of Heaven. I like poetry too (back away: former English major at work here), especially Philip Larkin and T.S. Elliot.
