About Me

In November 2006, three young men from a small town on the fringes of London played a show in an abandoned public toilet in Shepherd’s Bush. It was a pretty good show, some have said, but more importantly it cemented the foundations of The Argonauts, your new favourite rock n roll trio!Daniel, James and Terry play melodic, upbeat and grooving 3-minute pop nuggets. Time Out said The Argonauts play "shimmering indie pop gems with a rustic tangent". With their stripped-down 3-piece sound, their songs carry a certain charm and charisma, have been heralded as ‘the kind of songs you think you already know’ and hark back to the days when pop was not a dirty word.
Exactly one year after becoming the band, The Argonauts have produced an LP which they named Sixes and Sevens. It has fourteen tracks and takes approximately 42 minutes from start to finish. It was recorded by Jon Clayton (Chris T-T, Pete & The Pirates) at OneCat, Brixton; mixed by Malcolm Toft (The Beatles, David Bowie) at The Mill, Devon and mastered by Ray Staff (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin) at Alchemy, Soho. That means it is very pleasing to your ear!
To support the release of the album, on the 8th of November The Argonauts played a sold-out show at 93 Feet East on London’s historic Brick Lane. It was a wonderful evening which affirmed what the band has achieved in a relatively short amount of time.

“The fine collection of catchy, feel-good tunes they have to showcase puts them in a different league altogether" - SUPERSWEET MAGAZINE (JAPAN)

"It’s their love of good melodies that are their main selling point and each song has its own charm. They’ve also kept the production as minimal as possible, a commendable attitude in today’s culture of multi-track excess, and the record has nice “live” vibe to it." – TASTY FANZINE

"Sixes and Sevens is a masterpiece, if you haven't already purchased it, you're missing out!" - THE POPE
