Arden AltinoQueens raised, producer extraordinaire Arden Altino’s career path was written long before he was even thought of. Coming from a close knit Haitian family with strong musical ties, it was no surprise that this former child protégé would develop into the artistic wonder he is today. Arden’s genius lies in his ability to combine his years of training as a pianist with his own unique emotional outpour. He infectiously provides his audience with the raw, yet polished listening experience that true R&B has to offer the soul.
Despite all of Arden’s musical training, surprisingly it was his technical expertise that started his career as a producer. Starting in 1999 and for the next two years he engineered for some of the music industries hottest artists including: Busta Rhymes, Biggie Smalls, Tony Touch, Angie Martinez, Rah Digga, just to name a few. Working as an engineer placed Arden in the valuable position necessary to connect with both up and coming as well as established recording artists. In 2001, Arden produced several tunes for R&B crooner Jimmy Cozier, “Gave You Loveâ€, and “Mr. Man†the duet with musical phenomenon Alicia Keys, that won a Grammy in 2002 for the multi platinum smash album Songs in A minor.
Also in 2002 “Keyz†as Arden is often referred to, produced “Hold On†for lead singer of Hootie and the Blow Fish ,Darius Rucker. 2003 was the year that he produced “Raindrops†for Juelz Santana’s’ debut album. During the same year Arden’s talent warranted much attention overseas. He travels constantly between Europe and the States, collaborating with Paris’s top artists to name a few “Passi,Jocelyne Labylleâ€.
Nowadays this rising star is one of the most sought after producers. He is truly making his mark to solidify his position as a gifted musician in this highly competitive industry. With current projects in the works with mega stars: P Diddy, Kelis, The “Fugee’s “Wyclef Jean,Lauren Hill and Praz.
In an age where we are bombarded with over sampling and unoriginality, Arden Altino is the breath of fresh air needed to remind us what real music is all about.
