Based in Scotland, young singer/songwriter Louise Dodds has been taking her original material of jazz, pop and soul infused songs around the UK and beyond.
Since the release of her eponymous debut album in December 2005, Louise Dodds has been invited to play at many prestigious venues, including two headline spots at London’s Pizza on the Park, has toured the UK and appeared at many festivals.
The album, released on independent label DS Records, has received great acclaim and been featured on many radio shows, both BBC and independent. A live telephone interview was also broadcast on the BBC Radio Leeds show “The Live Lounge†via Pizza on the Park.
Her new material is all completely original, and fuses her love of jazz and soul. She is currently out in the Middle East, performing and writing material for her new album, and will be back in the UK shortly to tour and record. The new album is due to be released at the beginning of 2009.
As well as writing for herself she is also regularly asked to write for other artists, and in May 2007 was commissioned to record and perform two songs for a short film.

Louise has been lucky enough to play with some of the country's top musicians, and collaborates regularly with Edinburgh based pianist Tom Scott
