DAVE MUNRO

About Me

"Do you think I'm singin', cause I've got a knack for singin' honey? I don't really have a good voice." The first line on the upcoming debut album by Air Traffic Controller, sets the tone for a record spilling over with heartfelt storytelling. For everything that happens in life, a song is born. This is not a new way of writing music, but it’s proven to be the best way to reach listeners. After serving his enlistment as a Navy Air Traffic Controller, Dave Munro returned home and immediately began building a studio with his brother and drummer, Rich. He continued writing and recording, and quickly found himself on top of an evolving local music scene. One of Dave’s rock & roll heroes, Bleu, found the music “extremely charming” and signed on as producer for the debut. The full-length album, due in 2008, was recorded at a lake house in Massachusetts known as Ice Station Zebra with Bleu, legendary sound engineer- Ducky Carlisle, band members, family, and friends of Dave Munro. The sound is what you get when an honest folk singer becomes a genuine rock star, something classic.
