The Sad Depressing Artist Routine Isn't Working...

About Me

since I met you

Add to My Profile | More VideosA genuine smile involves the muscles around the eyes (producing crows' feet near the corners of the eyes), whereas a fake smile only involves the mouth.Genuine smiles have been named Duchenne smiles, after French neurologist Duchenne de Boulogne, who first recorded the phenomenon. Most 10-month old babies produce a fake smile when approached by a stranger, but a genuine smile when approached by their mothers.Smiling is the only human facial expression that can be recognised at a distance of 300 feet.Waiters receive 50 per cent bigger tips when they draw a smiling face on restaurant bills.Couples who are happily married produce Duchenne smiles when they meet at the end of the day - unhappy couples produce fake smiles.Smiling uses far fewer muscles than frowning. * * * *

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME:The band used to be just Brandon Ginzel and his acoustic guitar. Brandon joined the Navy in 2004 and got honorably discharged August 2006, and along the while living in Pearl Harbor, HI for a year and a half, he managed to get back into making music, in which he made his first official studio demo with Xavier Story of DME records. Word about his music spread amongst the area, catching the ear of another local producer/artist named Joseph Williams of Jaws records, who was also serving in the Navy on another ship. Together they recorded Fakes Smile's debut album "The Sad Depressing Artist Routine Isn't Working" with Brandon handling the guitars and vocals. He came up with the name "fakes smile" in hopes of gaining more members for his project. Now Brandon is back home and working on a sophmore effort with Joe "Scrappy" Dalton of "Studio 57 Recordz", a local rapper out of Detroit who'll be producing it. New songs are in order to be recorded very soon. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.-Revelation 21:4

Band Members: Right now, the band is: Brandon Ginzel-lead vocals/acoustic and electric guitars/keyboards, synth drums and all special production. I'd like to have a band to play with, but nobody in Detroit wants to do anything but rap or metal. So I'm gonna keep doing this solo till further notice.

The story behind my song "years"

Watching my parents get divorced as a kid, I realized that marriages come and go like the rain, kind of like all my faulty relationships. Feelings change, money creates tension, kids create tension, s...
