I have no idea how to start this, so I asked my friend Fanchon what she would ask me to get to know me better.
"I would ask you your beliefs, morals, religion, things that make you tick, things that make you smile, and what you do."
Let's start with my beliefs.
I believe in the realm of possibility. The goals you believed were impossible two years ago are not only possible now, but have most likely been achieved. STRIVE FOR THE BEST. If you think you can't do something, try it anyway. Chances are, you can. I never would have thought I would have been able to form a band, or act, or get a 4.1, or build a recording studio, or get an amazing internship, ETC. But it happened, and more is still happening.
On to religious beliefs.
I'm not sure where I stand with religion. After 14 years of Catholic schooling, it kind of had a reverse effect. I'm really interested in it though, so please, talk to me about it if you want. I'm serious. Send me a message on what you believe. BUT. What I can't stand? Intolerance. So please, if that comes with the religion, leave me out of it.
And surprisingly, even though I am not exactly religious, I have moral standards. When I was researching Buddism, I came across the Five Precepts; refrain from destroying living beings, refrain from stealing, refrain from sexual misconduct (adultery, rape, etc.), refrain from false speech (lying), and refrain from intoxicants which lead to carelessness. I am not by any means saying that I am perfect, or better than anyone. Sometimes I make mistakes. But I try to live by that, and the golden rule. Beyond that, I do not smoke, but I don't mind if you do. I do not do drugs either. I'd be lying if I said I've never gotten drunk before, but I don't make it a habit. I'm not a fan of potty mouths, so please don't curse every five seconds in order to sound tough.
I have had people ask me about the Five Precepts, and killing living beings. Yes, I am vegan. No, I did not choose to become vegan after I read that. I have an intolerance to animal protein, which makes me sick whenever I eat meat, milk, eggs, fish, etc. Not that I'd really know now, since I've been vegan for a little over 1 1/2 years. It doesn't really matter, because meat and fur and all that other stuff really grosses me out. Ew. Anyway, I'm going to clear some other things up, while I'm on the subject.
- Please, do not put things in my food. I get very sick. Yes, it has happened as a joke. I threw up about five minutes after eating a baked potato that had butter put in it. So please, really. Don't.
I can take jokes. But keep in mind, however clever you think you are, I've heard "Hey, want some STEAK?" at least 50 times. After a while, it gets old.
I do not push it on anyone. If you want information, I will answer your questions, but I will NEVER push my opinions on you.
I do not support PETA.
Things that make me tick.
I can't stand talking to people who don't know how to carry on a conversation. But I love awkward moments. I'm an awkward person. So it all works. I make weird noises when I'm bored and think nobody's listening. I enjoy music quite a bit. I sing constantly. Telephones do NOT make me tick, but they do if you're someone very special to me. Dark chocolate and coffee. My guitar. Picture one , picture two . I bought it from Greg Pawloski of Odd Project. I'm very proud of it. I obsess over small things for about a week... or a minute. Then I drop them. Current obsessions? The Februarys, Liz Lovely Cowboy Cookies, and slippers.
Things that make me smile.
Hugs. Smiles. Awkward silences. Pink hair. When people completely break free from their usual selves. Stupid jokes. Bagels. Moon bounces. Book stores. Mix tapes. The things that make me tick.
And finally.
What I do?
