DubRising Music

DUBRISING MUSIC è un progetto nato dall’esigenza di promuovere una libera espressione attraverso l’Auto-Produzione e la resistenza culturale e musicale. Il progetto, che porta con se l’esperienza e l’impegno in “HardiCore Sound System”(tra i primi a diffondere reggae roots & dub nel salento e sciolto da diverso tempo) di due dei componenti della vecchia crew, Natty Milh (dub-operator) e Sister RedDub (promoter), si è ormai trasformato in un vero e proprio collettivo di persone unite dalle stesse passioni ed esigenze: Jahnko-The Roots Ambassador (selecter e vintage roots/dub collector), MonoWatt (musicista e produttore), Bredda Giacomo (sound engeneer e promoter) e tutta la crew emergente del Jammin’ Sound. DubRising Music è impegnato nella promozione di eventi nazionali ed internazionali come quelli già organizzati fino ad ora: Jah Shaka, Cultural Warriors, Vibronics, Iration Steppas, Alpha & Omega, The Disciples, Kenny Knots, il primo “DUB IT - The Italian Dub Academy” in collaborazione con Italian Dub Community nonché tutte le dub-sessions di I-MILITANT sound system (progetto che fonda la sua attività di diffusione del dub warriors style nel Salento e in tutta Italia). Il collettivo DUBRISING è altresì attivo nelle lotte per la riutilizzazione degli spazi sociali nel nostro territorio e nelle battaglie sociali e politiche di rivendicazione dei diritti globali di cui questo sud e tutti i sud del mondo sono privi. Rispetto alle passate esperienze, di diverso c’è solo il nome e i cuori di chi adesso intraprende questo nuovo percorso; ciò che resta e resterà immutato, oltre la passione per la musica vera forza motrice, è il credere che dei dischi, un microfono e delle casse non siano solo meri strumenti musicali, ma “armi” da usare per dar voce alle idee e ai pensieri, contro l’imperialismo economico e militare in cui siamo costretti a vivere, per diffondere coscienza a chi ci ascolta e per portare avanti il nostro modo di militare nell’impegno sociale e politico, antifascista e antiproibizionista, non censurabile da nessuno ma sempre libero.

DUBRISING MUSIC is a project born from the need to promote freedom of expression through Auto-production and the musical and cultural resistance. The project, which brings with it the experience and commitment to "HardiCore Sound System" (one of the first to spread reggae dub & roots in salento and dissolved some time) two of the members of the old crew,Natty Milh (dub - operator) and Sister RedDub (promoter), has now turned into a real team of people united by the same passions and needs: Jahnko-The Roots Ambassador (selecter and vintage roots / dub collector), MonoWatt (musician and producer), Bredda Giacomo (sound engeneer and promoter) and the whole crew of emerging Jammin 'Sound. DubRising Music is committed to the promotion of national and international events such as the ones already held so far: Jah Shaka, Cultural Warriors, Vibronics, Iration Steppas, Alpha & Omega, The Disciples, Kenny Knots, the first " DUB IT ''- The Italian Dub Academy'' in collaboration with Italian Dub Community and all dub sessions of I-MILITANT sound system (project which bases its activities spread of dub warriors style in Salento and throughout Italy). The collective DUBRISING is also active in the struggle for the re-use of social spaces in our territory and the battles social and political demand of the rights which this global south and south all the world lack. Compared to past experiences, there is just a different name and the hearts of those who now takes this new path; what remains and will remain unchanged, beyond the passion for music real driving force is the belief that the records, and a microphone the boxes are not just mere musical instruments, but "weapons" to be used to give voice to ideas and thoughts against the economic and military imperialism in which we are forced to live, to spread awareness to those who will listen and to further the Our military in the way of social and political anti-fascist and anti-prohibitionist, not criticised by anyone but always free.
