Influences:It started about twenty years ago. I remember I first big experience in London, I used to listen small sound system in Brixton's underground (basement). And was just there that the figure of the Rasta Man became concrete in front of I&I.Was there that I felt the birth of the Roots Reggae Music inside I soul and it became a solid foundation for the long sojourn in Jamaica. In the beginning the band that inspired, influenced, and carry I on the most, I can say were Burning Spear, Misty in Roots, Black Uhuru, Gladiators, Abyssinians, Dennis Brown, Johnny Clarke, Steel Pulse, IJah Man LevI, Twinkle Brothers, Augustus Pablo, and off course Bob Marley with his lyrics and teachings. The principle Vibes was coming from heavy drum and bass, one of the first Jah Shaka sound session left an indelible sign inside I&I until the point that I got strong teachings from the music from a consciousness point of view. I was feeling more and more inspired and trough the overstanding of the lyrics I felt the necessity to Ilevate I Irits (Uplift the Soul). I perceived the mystical presence of Jah Ras TafarI. The Love and The Faith in Haile Selassie I; was growing and I found in the Roots Music a perfect manifestation. Certainly the UK Reggae back ground is the one that mostly interest I and involve I with his refined sounds that match with message of roots and culture. Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti-I are two of the biggest characters in action with their heavy sound. The Roots Music is the cure for the brain. When you listen, it moves not only the body, but also the Irits (Soul). It brings to a high level of thought: clean, positive, and open the soul to a harmonious approach to the Iration (Creation). Haile Selassie I is The Creator that give origin to everything, he is The Alpha and Omega, The Light and The Salvation. In His Majestic Manifestation, came as the Lamb of God to The Conquering Lion of The Tribe of Judah, like the biblical prophecy teach I&I. H.I.M is the continuous sustenance, the source of his teachings and the living example. Remember: The Roots Music is the will to share experiences with who are willing to listen, with the commitment to break down every prejudice and discrimination.
