NEW FUCKING DISASTER-LIVE AS FUCK

NEW FUCKING DISASTER-LIVE AS FUCK
..
Get Last Night Rites, ND's new CD here:
Rock-n-roll is about to get blasted by a fabulous New Disaster and the misfits behind the trigger make no apologies for the wreckage.
"I want to play rock-n-roll that's young, dangerous and heavy," says guitarist and singer Natchet Taylor . "I want music to be utterly depraved and beautiful like Guns N Roses, Rose Tattoo, the Stooges and the Dead Boys."
And so it is. Exploding from the rubble of some of Austin, TX's most promising young bands, New Disaster arrived in 2005 like a hell bound locomotive from the wrong side of the tracks. Dosed with a snotty gob of punk-rock urgency and littered with alleyway trash, New Disaster grinds Stones-style swagger through Motorhead amps as tales of fast living, dirty deeds and lusty ladies are screamed with a vengeance. If the New Wave of British Heavy Metal bombed the seedy Sunset Strip circa 1987, the result would be a gnarly New Disaster.
"I always wanted to play in a band that sounded as raw and sleazy as possible," says ace guitarist, Abel Idle . "From the first night we played together, I knew it was on."
With a debut album recorded at Texas' legendary Arlyn Studios and mixed by Andy Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin) at Spiral Recording in Los Angeles, New Disaster is locked and loaded to rekindle the flames of raw-power rock-n-roll. Already wanted for stealing the show on the local club circuit, New Disaster has its sights set on the world at large as songs such as Down Here in Hell, L.A. Blonde, Better than Wasted and Night on the Town are set to obliterate stereo speakers, audiences and anything else in harm's way.
As with all great rock-n-roll bands, New Disaster was born of foul play, misadventure and dicey maneuvers. After releasing the Barely Legal album as the self-named punk rock trio, Natchet Taylor, Williamson and the former band's namesake struck out on their own to stake their claim on lawless raunch-n-roll. Killing time while stockpiling their arsenal, the duo called on a former Riddlin Kid to kick up some dirty L.A. glam.
" Mark and I hooked up when we started a Guns N Roses tribute band called Uzi Suicide," Taylor recalls. "We had Rob on drums and a couple guys from Riddlin Kids and Born to Lose. We just wanted to rock the fuck out."
As the bus was leaving for Paradise City, the snap of broken bones brought it skidding to a halt.
"I was getting off work and about to cross the road when an SUV jumped the curb and hit me, Williamson says. He didnt even stop. By the time I looked up from the ground, the vehicle was gone. My ankle was broken all the way through. I was on crutches for four months. I spent time practicing drums with my left foot to make it stronger, while my right foot was healing."
With Williamson on ice, Taylor and Johnson started writing the songs that would become the bullets in New Disasters chamber. As the band is fond of saying, the results were Legit As Fuck.
"Rob started getting better and thats when the idea of New Disaster came about," Taylor says. "We needed a guitarist and Abel was my first choice. He was in before I could finish my pitch."
A former member of greaser thugs American Idles and Sunset Strip revivalists, Backlit Revolver, Idle was known around town for revving guitar solos with equal amounts of precision and slop. Citing Ace Frehley and Iron Maiden's Adrian Smith as his six-string heroes, Idle proved to be the ideal counterpart to Taylor's slashing blues leads.
"Natchet and I had met, but we really didnt know each other," Idle says. "One night I was playing in Backlit at this club called Headhunters, and Natchet was working there. He approached me about jamming on his new project and I said yeah. I did Backlit and New Disaster for about three months until Backlit broke up. Now it's full throttle with New Disaster."
Full throttle and with both barrels blazing, New Disaster has already stormed audiences as the highly anticipated opening act for Drowning Pool, L.A. Guns, Skid Row and Quiet Riot. With the album due for release and the touring van ready for combat, New Disaster welcomes the chance to navigate the highway to hell on the quest for knock 'em dead notoriety.
"We decided at the beginning that we weren't going to be just another local band," says Johnson. "We're out to be a national touring band and we're willing to push ourselves through relentless playing and touring. I feel like we're unstoppable. We're playing what everyone else is trying to play and that's some serious, bad-ass rock-n-roll."
Consider yourself warned. A New Disaster is brewing in Texas and the aftershock is going to hurt.
