The march towards Rock n' Roll Salvation has begun. High Watt Crucifixers harness a fireball of Marshall amplified energy and brutal John Henry style drumming that has taken them straight to the top of the Austin rock scene, dominating headlining shows at legendary clubs like Emo’s and all that surrounds it.
Their highly anticipated new self-titled release means whiplash for anyone who can hold onto the disc long enough to not get burned. They have been featured in Classic Rock Magazine and this quartet even includes a member of punk-metal icons AMEN, fronted by screaming bleeder Casey Chaos.
These are the gathering disciples bent on the mission of spreading the gospel. The High Watt Crucifixers have indeed only just been born into the world of Rock n' Roll and they have every intention of saving it. The Crucifixers are here to stay.
"The High Watt Crucifixers win the award for kicking my ass harder than it’s been kicked in a really long time. Brutal and precise, my introduction to the ‘Fixers was just the bitch slap I needed to remind myself that one must respect the rock or be run over by it. I can’t tell you how rare it is these days to see a band that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck, not only with their performance but with their passion for what they’re doing. These motherfuckers literally EXPLODED into each song of their set starting and stopping on a dime, all the while dripping with sweat, licking blood off their teeth, their eyes rolling back into their heads like they were possessed. Sweet fucking hell, it was GLORIOUS. There’s really no other way to put it. And just when I thought they couldn’t possibly get any more amazing they floored me with a killer cover of one of my all-time favorite Iron Maiden songs, Wrathchild. The big mystery, for me anyway, is why Room 710 wasn’t packed for a band this great. All I can say is this: Austin rock stalwarts beware. The High Watt Crucifixers are here, and they’re gonna eat your lunch. While your singing about revolution, these boys are living it, loud and proud."
