I am primarily a musician. I play Didgeridoo, Egyptian Dumbek, and other ethnic instruments. I'm really into the sounds of early rhythms and instruments. It's the primal part of the human spirit that it speaks to. I like merging the primal sounds with modern electronics in my band Telesma. The high you get from a good show when everyone is connected and riding on the same pulse and you can feel the energy like waves peaking and crashing into you, rising from the throngs of excited humanity... that is something I live for. Something special is happening when that connection is made and you can feel the ebb and flow of collective energy as it pushes and pulls on you conducting you, moving you. States of ecstacy can be reached. A group mind is born assimilating and synchronizing everyone. For that moment real magic is possible. I feel I'm being most real and myself when I am able to tap into the deeper part of me and convey it during a musical performance. It is a means of expression that trancends words -language of the soul-. To share this part of myself with an audience, and to see, by the response from people, that they have understood and felt through the music what I am feeling while playing the music is an affirmation for me of the common connection shared by our human souls. And for me its one of deepest forms of interaction a human being can have (next to making love or telepathy).
