MC HANSEN - "always singing and a-picking "

About Me

... Long time ago as I approached the glorious land of turning 18 my parents gave me a guitar instead of a driver's licence. It was wrapped in yellow paper and had a post card on it that read: "they can't take that away from you no matter how drunk you are when you use it". Over the following years the guitar took up most of time ..till one day I found myself making an honest living playing for anyone taking an interest in my songs and even paying me to play them in public. My friend Finn from back in the days showed me some really cool chords. You know... like the ones they use in traditional songs. Finn likes folk music and big open chords and so that..s what I play. I've got two black boxes full of records. Mostly rhytm..n..blues with guitar players that don't play too much. Those cats had a huge impact on what I wanted to play and I still dig into those old boxes for comfort from time to time.
