About Me

From Somerville, living in Boston and working there too - while trying to do side work:"Matthew Hoey was a former senior research associate at the Institute for Defense and Disarmament Studies (IDDS), a United Nations Non-Governmental research organization located in Cambridge Massachusetts where he researched missile defense and space weaponization. Hoey worked under the guidance of renowned arms control expert Dr. Randall Forsberg. At IDDS Hoey served as a contributing editor to the Arms Control Reporter, where he wrote on missile defense and military space technologies. Hoey’s research has been featured by the Council on Foreign Relations, The Space Review, Center for Defense Information and the WEU Interparlimentary European Security and Defense Assembly among others. Hoey has also lectured at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and at the MIT Science, Technology and Global Security Working Group. Most recently he was cited by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, The Canadian Military Journal and in Harvard University political science curriculum. Hoey a father of two previously worked as a political strategist in Massachusetts."

Antiques, sneaking into tall buildings to find roof access, trading Biotechnology stocks when the budget permits, landscaping, bartending, playing in the sand at the beach, old boys networks, stick ball, the White Mountains NH, Jeeps, Somerville kids, The Sligo Pub, Walden Pond without dirty hipsters and yups, Old Cemeteries, Hans Hoffman, The Fogg Art Museum, Indian buffets, hanging with guys over age 70 at pubs.
