About Me

When you first meet Kristi, she doesn't let on that she has so much to say; so much insight about the world she lives in. But as soon as she starts to sing, you are drawn into the whirlwind of emotion and creativity that lies within her. Her catchy melodies and rich melodic voice compel you to listen to her songs over and over again.Music has always been a part of her life. Both her parents were part of their church's choir. As a child she was encouraged to sing at home. Later she took violin lessons and at age 10, she took her violin to the streets of Old Quebec and played for the tourists who were generous toward her. She would come home proudly offering her earnings to her parents. “I was proud to help my parents buy food for the family during a particularly tough time in our lives. My mother put most of the money aside to help pay for my violin lessons”. It wasn't until Kristi turned 13 that she became interested in songwriting. At 16 she learned to play guitar and took her songs and 12-string to the same streets of Old Quebec. There she performed her songs, gathering crowds wherever she sang. After graduating from high school, she discovered a passion for opera and decided to pursue vocal studies. Songwriting was put on the back burner during this period where she put her efforts into studying the art of classical singing and music. After a five-year hiatus, and shortly after graduating from “Université Laval” with a degree in vocal performance, she started writing songs again and produced a demo cd.Since then, one of her songs, Worth Dying For, was used in the foreign version of “Passions”, which aired in her native Canada. Instantly, there was a buzz surrounding the song and the artist. Later on, a friend of Kristi's sent Kristi's demo to a person from the music industry. This contact enabled her to work on a couple songs with Shannon Sanders (who co-writes with India.Arie), which she sings at her concerts and which will likely appear on her upcoming debut album. Recently, Kristi formed a band and has begun playing live concerts at festivals and in clubs. “I was tired of waiting after people who promised to forward my career. What I really wanted to be doing was writing songs and performing them. So that's what I've started to do.”

Friends list

I've finally decided to use the "Top 8 friends" feature that I refused to use until now. I don't want people to get upset because they aren't on my "Top 8 list" (which is why I didn't want to use it),...
