KITHY started in her music career at the age of 13 by playing drums in her father's country/rock band. Playing almost every weekend, she played at private clubs, weddings and the like, and became familiar with different kinds of genre's and generations of music.
A few years later, she answered an ad in the paper about an all-female band looking for a drummer. The late Mitch Karczewski, owner of "Spotlight Talent" in Cleveland, was starting his 25 years in the business with this group called Lipstick. Kithy filled the position and they were on their way to playing the music scene. "Mitch had us playing almost every night! Seriously! We'd practice during the day and play at night. We moved a lot of equipment in our days! As a matter of fact, one year we played 333 dates out of 365. Some twice in one day! It was an experience!"
Playing everything from oldies to contemporary to original music, Lipstick opened for many different artist including "Wild Horses, The Box Tops, The Godz, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, and Black Oak Arkansas."
In 1986, Lipstick debuted their first single, "I Want to Be With You Tonight." The single went to 14 on Clevelands National Radio Station WMMS. It also hit 86 on the WMMS Hot List for the year. The "B" side called "Put n Bay," was a promo hit for the island of Put n Bay. Both songs, written by Yvette "Jet" Williams, the lead singer and guitar player of the band, were recorded at Kopperhead Studios and produced by Mark Avsec. Mark was the former member of Wild Cherry, and founder and former member of Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, and writer of the single, "She Don't Know Me", for BonJovi which launched his career._______
Kithy left the group after the first single came out. She was asked by another management company to be a lead singer, which enabled her to be in a band with her brother. She took the offer. This also gave her the time she needed to be in the studio working on her own music. After working together for a while, the band went their separate ways. Other bands came and gone, another chapter ended. It was time to get married. But wait....after just getting married, Mitch calls to say, "Atlantic records wants to sign the original band. Will you go on tour?" Kithy turned it down. So the band didn't get signed.____
"I wasn't the only one that turned down a contract for the band. Lipstick was offered a few times. I just don't think it was meant to be. I was not going to leave my husband and the house we just bought over a chance in the music industry. I had just made some important choices in my life and things needed to change. Six months prior to them asking I gave my life to God. To me that meant I needed to re-evaluate my life. So I put my music down for a year. I didn't play. I turned off the radio. I needed to find a new direction for my life, I was going the wrong way. So I learned how to walk as a Christian, and I'm still walking. Twenty years later, I'm not doing to bad at it."______
After giving up her music for a year, she began to play drums on the worship team in her church. The same church she still serves in today. She played under the leadership of Pastor Cole Brown/PastorJohn Mosher-worship leader. Also under Andy Scheneman-worship leader. Dr. Rudi Swanepoel/Evangelistist Sharon Swanepoel-worship leader,
and the present Pastor of the church, Pastor Roger Loomis/Pastor Lori Loomis-worship leader. Kithy has been to El Salvador and to many places in the states for evangelistic ministry with different teams.
"I learned the difference between performing for an audience and playing for an audience of One. Many times I'm sure people look at me when I'm on the drums or singing up in front and say, "she's performing for us." It's just there and natural for me. It's all in the heart and the heart could play you wrong. But God will convict me if my heart is wrong."_______
After 10 years of extreme struggles with life and health issues, and no where else to turn but to God and her music, it was time to let this CD happen. It was time to write a book also. But first, this precious tool of songs that will just let your heart beat for a soul search in your life. It might "kick you in the butt." But it will also let you be yourself at times when you need too.________ Kithy said,
"In 2006, after many obstacles in life, I had no other choice except to sit and listen to God. So I did. I don't watch much TV but I did then, just one show and for only one purpose. It started around February. I thought it would never go away. The Lord really showed me it was time to get out of my "fence". And that one person, through God, inspired me to get me going again. And then other people followed suit. I'll never forget it for the rest of my life."_____
Kithy started writing songs using the bass guitar and coming up with many different rhythms. From worship, blues, country to rock, she was able to get them to a Producer, Mark Carman. He took her down to the Trinity Music Studio's in Tennessee and worked with Bruce Watkins as the Session Leader.
"I'm proud to say I worked with the best of the best musicians. I could have not done it this without them. You just have to look up Mark Carman's discography and google him. Unbelievable! Jim, the Engineer was excellent also. They all amazed me. And through all of my years of playing and being with many artists like BonJovi, The Romantics, Kiss, Poison, Third Day, etc., nothing against anyone, but these men were like "being at home." It felt right!" _______
KITHY'S passion is to help you find your way back home. Find the true meaning of life._____________________

There's a destiny for every individual out there. Go grab it! Sometimes you have to take it with force. But also be patient and test the water. You have to know the timing and the difference. When you repent, turn and never turn back around. Stay the course! It's never easy........
